Rap gods and Evil Queens

As the Aftermath album plays through my desktop speakers, I have come to a realization. Crimson Legacy, Crimson Order 1, has been one of the darkest books I have written to date. Under my alter-ego, we toed some proverbial lines. In Crimson Legacy we are stomping on them and galloping across. With full speed ahead.

It has raised a few red flags on things from my past. Hard issues that I still try not to look too closely at even after many years of therapy and distance. But, I know this book is like therapy, too, in a way. Actually the whole series is. Because we cannot have darkness without light, in this world or any others.

And that is what the Crimson Order stems off of. Dark versus light. It follows a group of hard-headed anti-heroes hell bent on saving the world at the stake of their own destruction.

The Order is comprised of warriors from the Hallows. Humans and supernaturals with powers never featured in the Lost Nights world. At least not yet...

With everything from vampires to slayers at the helm...there is nothing they won't do...nothing they won't endure...to protect humanity from an evil queen older than anything on Earth.

A queen whose only desire is to rid the world of life as we know it.

And the Order isn't going to stand for it.

Okay, that was a bit dramatic. (But that is how it feels.) I am still working...just at a snail's pace. Maybe it is better for me to...
